Western Sydney Data Centres: Eastern Creek & Marsden Park
Western Sydney is now the fastest-growing data centre area in Australia. Land, power substations and fibre routes have pulled large builds to Eastern Creek, Marsden Park, Horsley Park and Rosehill, well away from the older Mascot and Ultimo halls.

Why are data centres moving west?
- Power: large sites need grid connections that are easier to secure near western substations.
- Land: big single-storey and multi-hall campuses need space the inner city does not have.
- AI demand: AI and GPU racks draw far more power per rack, which pushes new capacity to sites built for it.
Industry research puts Sydney at more than 65% of the power capacity in Australia's upcoming data centre pipeline, and much of that is in the west.

Booking smart hands at a western site
- Name the campus, building and hall — Eastern Creek and Marsden Park have several buildings.
- Confirm access is lodged for the technician before dispatch. Western campuses run strict security induction and escort rules.
- Allow for travel time in scheduled change windows, especially in M4 and M7 peak traffic.
- Send the MOP ahead so parts, tools and a second technician can come in one trip. See the MOP guide.

What work do western racks usually need?

FAQ
Do you provide smart hands at CDC Eastern Creek?
Yes. CDC Eastern Creek is at 17 Roberts Road. Halls EC1–EC4 are live. Name the building and hall on the ticket.
Do you cover CDC Marsden Park?
Yes. CDC Marsden Park is at 105–113 Hollinsworth Road. The campus is still being built out, so name the building on the ticket.
Can you attend NextDC S4 or Equinix SY9x?
Not at the moment. We do not hold access at NextDC S4, NextDC S6 or Equinix SY9x. Call us and we will tell you straight whether we can help.
How long does it take to get to Eastern Creek?
Western Sydney sites are a longer drive than Mascot or Ultimo, and M4 and M7 traffic changes the ETA. Scheduled work is best booked ahead; emergencies get a live ETA when we dispatch.
Is Western Sydney only for hyperscale cloud?
No. The biggest buildings are hyperscale, but businesses and service providers also run colocation racks out west, and those racks need the same floor work.
