Australian Privacy Act 1988
How we handle personal information on this site
eWEB TEC (8 Frederick Street, Artarmon NSW 2064) handles personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. This page is a plain-English summary of what we collect on this website and why.
What we collect
If you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you type, plus the page you came from. We do not ask for payment card details on this site.
The site also uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-VB7S6G8BHP) to see which pages are used. Analytics cookies are set by Google. Server logs on the host may record IP address, browser and the page requested.
How we use it
- To call or email you back about the work you asked about.
- To keep a backup of enquiries in a server log if mail delivery fails.
- To understand which service and guide pages people actually read.
We do not sell enquiry data. We do not use the contact form to subscribe you to a newsletter.
Who else sees it
Enquiries are sent to our mailbox and stored on the same Australian web host as this site. Google processes Analytics data under its own terms. If we later use a tool such as Claude or ChatGPT on your job, that is scoped with you first — we do not paste contact-form messages into public AI tools as a default.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept long enough to handle the job and any follow-up. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings. You can ask us to delete an enquiry we still hold.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete an enquiry. Call 0407 453 817 or use the contact form. Complaints about privacy can also be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
