A Map of Sydney's Major Data Centres (Equinix, NextDC, Global Switch)
Sydney's major colocation campuses sit in three clusters: Equinix at Mascot and Alexandria, Global Switch at Ultimo, and NextDC at Macquarie Park. That is where smart hands and remote hands tickets actually get executed — not on a suburb homepage.
This is a practical orientation for IT and facilities teams. Streets below are operator-published. Confirm live access in the facility portal before a change window. It is not an official operator map.

Why geography still matters
Latency, fibre paths, flood and power diversity, and how fast a technician can reach the floor all depend on which campus your kit lives in. A provider who already holds access and knows the site rules will beat a truck roll from the other side of the city at 2am. eWEB TEC's office is 8 Frederick Street, Artarmon — useful for Macquarie Park, not a substitute for Equinix access at Gardeners Road.
Equinix Mascot–Alexandria
The market often says "Equinix Mascot" for the whole campus. The halls are not one building.
- SY1 / SY2 — 639 Gardeners Road, Mascot 2020 (Unit B / Unit C). About two kilometres from Sydney Airport.
- SY3 — 47 Bourke Road, Alexandria 2015.
- SY4 / SY5 — 200 Bourke Road, Alexandria 2015.
Access, cages and escorts are per IBX. A ticket that only says "Sydney Equinix" will bounce. Rosebery, Botany, Waterloo and St Peters sit on this belt — they are not extra service pages. eWEB TEC smart hands names SY1–SY5 as core halls.
Global Switch Ultimo
400 Harris Street, Ultimo 2007. Close to the CBD, different loading dock and after-hours process to Equinix. Treat it as its own site on the ticket.
NextDC Macquarie Park (and Artarmon next door)
- S1 — 4 Eden Park Drive, Macquarie Park 2113.
- S2 — 6–8 Giffnock Avenue, Macquarie Park 2113.
- S3 / S6 — Broadcast Way, Artarmon 2064, the same suburb as eWEB TEC's Frederick Street office. Named NextDC coverage on our service pages is S1 and S2; other halls are booked once access is confirmed.
CDC Eastern Creek and Marsden Park
CDC (Canberra Data Centres) has two Sydney campuses in the west. eWEB TEC smart hands and remote hands cover both.
- Eastern Creek — 17 Roberts Road, Eastern Creek 2766. Live halls EC1–EC4; EC5 and EC6 as they come online.
- Marsden Park — 105–113 Hollinsworth Road, Marsden Park 2765. Campus still being built out. Name the building on the ticket.
No extra suburb pages for Rooty Hill, Minchinbury or Schofields — those streets sit on this western belt.
Operators you will hear most often
- Equinix (SY series): dense interconnection and enterprise colo — common for hybrid cloud and carrier meet-me rooms.
- NextDC: large-scale Australian colo used by enterprises and cloud on-ramps.
- Global Switch (Ultimo): long-established multi-storey facility, frequent home for network-heavy deployments.
AirTrunk, Macquarie Data Centres and Vocus also operate in the Sydney metro. eWEB TEC attends those when current access is in place for that customer — not as a claim that every building in Sydney is on a standing SLA.
What to prepare before a smart hands visit
- Rack location, cage or suite, and access method (permanent vs temporary)
- Change ticket / method of procedure (MOP) if the site requires it
- Hardware serials, spare parts, shipping tracking and RMA paperwork
- Remote contact who can approve escalations while hands are on the floor

FAQ
Do you only work in those three operators?
No — Equinix SY1–SY5, NextDC S1/S2 and Global Switch Ultimo are the halls we name first. Other Sydney metro facilities are attended where access and insurance requirements are met.
Is Equinix in Mascot or Alexandria?
Both. SY1 and SY2 are at 639 Gardeners Road, Mascot. SY3–SY5 are on Bourke Road, Alexandria. Tickets need the IBX code, not just the suburb.
Can you help if we are not in Sydney?
Smart and remote hands are Sydney-metro data centre services. Cloud hosting and AI agents can be delivered Australia-wide.
Is this an official operator map?
No. It is a plain-English orientation for buyers. Always verify live campus details with the operator.
